I have joined Wateen Telecom on 1^st of Jan 2008 as a Senior Executive of Design Engineering Team. The basic responsibilities include designing solutions which we provide for our clients. Mostly Cisco equipments are used in the integration.

Siemens Enterprise Networks, Pakistan

I joined Siemens Pakistan as an Executive Engineer for Networks Security Solution in January 2006. When I was the team lead for Siemens HiPath Wireless Portfolio which covered VoWLAN (Voice over WLAN) and Wi-Fi facilities for medium and large enterprises; I was also the Team Lead of the  System Engineering Team.

·         Projects:

§         Design and Deployment of Campus Networks, Large & Small Enterprise Networks for various projects, using Cisco (Catalyst 3550, 3560, 2900 etc) & 3COM products.

§         Successful deployment and testing of a Pre-Sales Lab for Siemens HiPath Wireless Portfolio, using Siemens Equipments like HiPath 3k/4k for VoIP gateway, HiPath Wireless Controller C10 for VoWLAN Capabilities.

§         Design and deployment of Microsoft Windows Based solution for Medium/Large Scale Enterprises, using Products like Windows Server 2003 R2, ISA Server 2000/2004/2006, Exchange Server 2000/2003.

I started my career in April 2005 with Xper2go Inc. as a Technical Support Representative (TSR) and within a month I was promoted to the position of Technical Support Engineer (TSE). There I served as the team lead for the TSR Team and an active member of the TSE team.

§         Worked on USA based projects which included project managements, LAN deployment, network configuration and optimization, Infrastructure design and backup design and Network Security analysis and Infrastructure design.

§         Managed single handedly projects related to Network Configuration at Sheraton Palo Alto and Westin Palo Alto.

§         Managed the Backup infrastructure and architecture of Hotel Chains like Sheraton and Westin.

§         Configured and managed the Local VPN connection between Xper2go USA and Xper2go South East Asia.

§         Configured a site to site connectivity infrastructure for Xper2go South East Asia regional offices.

KANUPP Karachi

Project: To design and deploy High Speed LAN at CDD Kanupp.

Role: Team Lead

§         Worked under the supervision of Principal Engineer and Senior Science Officer in the CDD Department of KANUPP Karachi.

§         Managed their Local Area Network.

§         Configured servers like Active Directory, Samba Server, ISA Server, Exchange server, DNS Server for the whole Department.

§         Provided the Organization with two alternative proposals for the inter-departmental connectivity
