Awesome! Human Computer Interfacing is improving over the time

In context of music; especially synthesizers side; Korg had been choice of musicians due to its 360 degree programmable joystick; one could use it to change pitch and other parameters of voice synthesizing; later Yamaha introduced breath controller; and algorithmic transformation around it (VL series) and that was even product of the year (2000?) Now some companies have done lot of innovation; like laser guided human hand position sensors; and touch based sensors; very similar to what fakeGeek has mentioned here; such sensors.
