Google launched
Lively, a Browser based 2nd life sort of thing. It's pretty amazing and I am yet exploring it.
Google has come up with it's own IDL which they call Protocol Buffer for Data Exchange. An interesting attempt. Facebook uses its own IDL called thrift

The most famous man in Software world Bill Gates is retiring next week. In a recent Interview he shared how mistakes of others were key to achieve success in software world. From BBC:
"Most of our competitors were very poorly run," he tells Fiona Bruce, for The Money Programme.
"They did not understand how to bring in people with business
experience and people with engineering experience and put them
together. They did not understand how to go around the world."
Ironically Google applied same tactic against Microsoft and won the battle but then this is common in corporate world.
I don't know what would be the future of Microsoft after Bill Gates, will it get better or keep following same strategy which is leading them to disaster. I personally feel that Microsoft should quit desktop world and seriously jump in Mobile Apps world otherwise their days are numbered.
Ever wished to download OLDER version of your daily apps rather new one? eheh. I came across a website while I was looking for a 'way out' to get back to older version of Firefox if ver 3.0 work at all. Old Apps could save you from trouble.
You can also download plain old and sweet IE 3.x and NS 3,x versions.
FireFox 3.0 is available now but I am hesitant because unlike many others, I use lots of add-ons. Now I am not sure whether all plugins available for firefox 3.x or not. I have used FF 3.x in alpha stage many months ago and loved it but then that was testing stage. I hope they would provide all Add-ons available for 3.x as well. Specially web developer toolbar,FireBug,Google Notebook and Facebook etc.
Finally. As long as my toolbars are not updated, i am not gonna use it.
