A big hole in Universe!

From source

The hole is nearly a billion light-years across. It is not a black hole, which is a small sphere of densely packed matter. Rather, this one is mostly devoid of stars, gas and other normal matter, and it's also strangely empty of the mysterious "dark matter" that permeates the cosmos. Other space voids have been found before, but nothing on this scale.

Is it really a hole or as a slashdotter said, "forgot to remove lense cap" :-)

haha well im sure this really is a hole and not a camera lense cap, and i think its called a black hole if im not forgetting... i remember speaking about it with someone recently. its wierd how we think we have so much knowledge about everthing but in reality there is so much more to this universe than what we actually see.
