Unicode 5.1 with Urdu support
I came to know about
Unicode via Google which now
supports Unicode 5.1 characters for searching. Unicode 5.1 which supports 100,000 new characters targeting many human languages in current version. Since I didn't read about Urdu(though I should have paid attention on SOUTH EAST ASIAN scripts or Arabic Scripts), I contacted Unicode members to find out about support of Urdu "font" in newer version. Magda Danish ,Sr Administrative Director told me that newer version now supports many Urdu characters which were not available in older version. By going thru the
list, I found out that many URDU SPECIFIC(rather Arabic) characters re being supported in newer version. The list here mentions all new Urdu based characters which will be available for Urdu script. Now it's uptop implementers(architects,Programmer) that how they implement in their fonts.
