The repair begins
Since everyone has been whining about global Internet outage, the good news is that the work has begun. From BBC:
A French ship has begun repairing two undersea cables in the Mediterranean that were severed on Friday, disrupting internet and phone communications.
But seems it may take time as it' said by a French Telecom marine:
We have to fix the cable fibre by fibre, and it's a very huge cable
So use this opportunity as a good excuse to stay out of virtual world. In short, get a life!! :-)
