Best of.....

So 2005 is about to pass by. It would be highly appreciated if someone would like to share the best thing happened to him/her in 2005. Best software, best blog, best book, best tool/technology....Any predictions for 2006 ?

Just to start with , here you can find a list of the Top underrated apps of 2005 and here you can find the Top apps of the year. Best blogs i have discovered and watch closely is life beyond code,SvN and Schneier's blog. Best book i have read is The federalist letters by Alexander Hamilton et al. It is such a great book that you can pick a topic from anywhere in the book, as topics are not linked as the book contains individual federalist letters, and trust me you won't be disspointed. Book was given to me by Zahid Irfan who recently moved back to GIKI. I miss you Zaheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed. He is a great writer and a critique and does have the ability to think out of the box ...at times :D :)...Man, i miss your grammies over coffees :) .

Anyways time just flew by. I have made lots of mistakes and plan to make more valuable mistakes in the coming year :) Have learnt lots of lessons, met and worked with amazing set of people. Lots of friends moved. So this is me, i wish everyone luck and wish a great year ahead.

my Choice:

1)WikiPedia: amazing system, after google i am much dependant on Wiki for searching material on different topics

2)GoogleEarth: two words, Simple Awesome

3)Windows Mobile5.0:its amazing, its gonna beat Symbian within a year or two, nice features, easy to use APIs,i personally worked on some of its APIs and found it very cool

4)AJAX: nice stuff again

5)Fiddler,Microsft Web Developer toolbar and FireFox`s similar toolbar: made life easier for me while writing javascript based applications.
