Back from Umra

I am back from the Umra, the trip was pretty good. We had to face more rush in comparison to what we were expecting.

  • People, for God sake, don’t use mobile phones at holy places, I witnessed people using them during Tawaf (even in Ehram), Jammat Prayers, and even in Riaz-ul-Jannah (that’s a part of Jannat according to our Nabi’s hadith). Think how you feel doing these world things while sitting in Jannat!
  • One should arrange Alarm clock (so one can wake early for Tawaf, Tahajjud and Fajar)
  • If you are not comfortable with strong sun heats, get yourself an umbrella, I witnessed couple of people collapsing while coming out of air conditioned mosques due to big temperature difference at Zohar and Assar times.
  • Never give your tickets and passports to the tourism agency, especially during rush season. They insist that you hand them over these things and they will take good care of it and will re-confirm your return program, but don’t trust them J
  • If you have some elder person accompanying who needs wheel chair, no need to take it along, you can get one easily from the first floor of Masjid-ul-Haram (close to Safa) and from Gate number 16 of Masjid-ul-Nabi

I am still trying to go through my inbox J will come back with more once I am done. In case anyone needs particular information, feel free to drop the comments.
