Domain Specific Languages (DSL)

With Visual Studio .NET 2005 Team Systems, Microsoft is incorporating domain specific languages (DSLs). Any given DSL, tend to be focused on doing one sort of task well. With this, Microsoft also rejecting UML and introducing their own propriety DSL for model driven development.


Here Grady Booch, who we all know from Object Modeling Technique (OMT) days is talking about why he disagree with Microsoft’s rejection of the UML.
