AOP Frameworks for .NET v2

As per plan, tomorrow is my last day for the .NET v2 project at my workplace. It’s a light weight inventory system; and I am excited that how many new things I am able to learn in this project. DNN4, Enterprise Library and today; Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) using Spring.Net.

While completing the library I wanted to add logging support; but implementing such things are tedious, so I planned to invest some time to find some appropriate AOP implementation for .NET v2. I tried Aspect#, part of Project Castle and found it over complex; my next try was Loom; but it had erratic behavior and finally I tried Spring.Net and it worked like a charm.

While finding AOP framework; my priorities were, .NET v2 compatibility, support of dynamic weaving, AOP Alliance compliance and no proprietary language for point cut and weaving definitions. Only Loom and Spring Framework fits well with this criteria.
